On May 2nd and May 3rd CoDe Albania, as Caritas Albania’s partner in framework of SOCIETIES – “Support of CSOs in Empowering Technical skills, Inclusion of people with disabilities and EU standards in South East Europe” project implementation, financed by the European Union, organized the training on “Public Relations” in the premises of its youth center.
During the 2-day training carried out by 2 experts on Public Relations and Communication, through combining information with practical exercises, 15 representatives from participant CSOs operating in different areas of Albania, acquired theoretical and practical knowledge on good practices and effective methods of planning, development and implementation of PR strategies in the organization and the development of management capacities related to communication/public relations issues, strengthening the role of the organization in public, strengthening of communication strategies through social media/online media, and recommendations on the steps to be followed for promoting the organization through effective internal and external communication instruments.
Current organizational, logistical and budget shortages were also highlighted by the organizations related to “Public Relations” and the need to identify and determine a communication strategy was emphasized, with a main goal on building an effective public campaign for achieving the acquired target group, as well as absorbing funding from potential donors.
Following the training, the participant organizations will be assisted by the experts for a 3-month period and will be part of a consultative process related to concrete steps that organizations will undertake to facilitate the understanding, planning and organization process, diversification of methods and strategies of communication, as well as building public relations in a successful way.
